Infrastructure and Innovation Section
The Infrastructure and Innovation Section provides operational support for all real estate matters related to the presence in Switzerland of international organisations, permanent missions and their personnel.
The Infrastructures and Innovation Section represents the Swiss authorities in matters related to the development of the premises of international organizations and foreign states (permanent missions) located in the cantons of Geneva and Vaud.
Its scope of activities covers, in particular, physical and digital infrastructures, real estate and land operations, conference activities, and the security of the sites of International Geneva.
As a diplomatic channel, the section is the first point of contact for questions from international organizations and permanent missions regarding their land, buildings or facilities. It facilitates the implementation of their projects in compliance with Swiss laws and regulations, as well as the regime of privileges and immunities applicable to international organizations and foreign states. By promoting the provision of high-quality infrastructures adapted to the evolving needs of stakeholders, the section contributes to strengthening the attractiveness of International Geneva.
